HND I Computer Engineering Design and Develop PCB Board at Practical Exam Venue

The HND I Students from Computer Engineering Department, Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State engaged with series of regular practicals with less supervision. These categories students had covered NBTE syllabus on Electronics I, Electronics II during their ND programs. The continuation lead to Electronics III and Electronic IV for HND program. The Lecturer in-charge (Dr. Engr. S. E. Obaje) from the Department of Computer Engineering and the Senior Technologist (Engn. Tech Alabi O. A.) work in collaboration to ensured these students fulfilled the requirement by NBTE.
During first semester 2016/2017 academic session, HND I from the Department of Computer Engineering  under the leadership of Engr. H. J. Onawola, provide enabling environment for smooth conduction of practical exams. With the support of current NACOMES EXCO 2016/2017 under the  leadership of Comrade Nurudeen A.K.A KONTA as NACOME President supported the idea and embarked on laboratory maintenance as one major project for the development of Computer Engineering Department.
The outcome of the  development lead to full conduct of practicals at various levels i.e ND I, ND II, HND I and HND II respectively. Many practicals had held in the laboratories ( Maintenance Lab, Electronics Lab, Technology Lab and Microprocessor in Control Lab) of which 100% students strengthen their interest and demonstrated full hard work.
With the support of The Management of Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara State under the administrative of Dr.Lateef, Ademola, Olatunji , provided materials required for regular conduct of practicals include practical examinations. Therefore the practical exams commenced full on 31st July, 2017 of which The Department of Computer Engineering fully utilized the limited resources for real practical exams at mini campus.
All levels at Computer Engineering Department (ND I, ND II, HND I and HND II) had experienced real practical exams on campus. One of the great innovation was carried out by present HND I 2016/2017. The present HND I performed live experiment during practical exam on course code "EEC 325 : Electronics IV" Each of the students participated on the design and development of PCB board. The PCB board was tested during exam and graded by the examiners.
