The Federal Polytechnic Offa to Begin Award of B.Tech in the Faculty of Engineering

Recently, The Rector Dr. Lateef, Ademoala Olatunji and Duty Rector Academic Dr. Engr. Abdul send memo to all Head of Department(s) at school of Engineering regard possible innovation and new strategic planing that will elevate the profile of the Federal Polytechnic Offa.

The Management of Federal Polytechnic under the leadership of Dr. Lateef Ademoala Olatunji discovered the existence of high profile academic and non academic staff in at various units. The Registrar ALH. ABDULHAMID .O. RAJI verified the information received from all HOD(s) regards staff present status and raking of all academic staff (Lectures, Technologist and Instructors) from faculty of Engineering. The record from Senior Estab. Unit indicated that each department(s) from Faculty of Engineering has greater number of chief , Principal and  Senior Lecturers /Instructors/Technologist therefore the high ranking of academic staff based on academic qualification (Higher Degree Holders) ie. Doctor of Philosophy and  Master Degree holders, this call for emergency for to-up program.

Inline with Deputy Director Directive, each Department highlighted both physical and human resources in existence and forwarded the comprehensive report to the management of Federal Polytechnic Offa. The Office of Deputy Rector initiate strategic plan in collaboration with Director of Part-Time (CCE) programs "Mrs. Aliyu" from the department of Library and Information Department.
The Deputy rector Academic Dr. Abdul lead the team to University to Minna seeking approval of affiliate program for the Federal Polytechnic Offa. Many department had key in for the award of B. Sc. from different Universities in Nigeria but and not been initiated my Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa (Accounting, Business Admin and many more will later key in for Bsc. just like Faculty of Science and Engineering) Only Faculty of Engineering programs was affiliated for B.Tech award inline with bi-lateral agreement of the two Institutions. Few Department from Faculty  of Science and Technology and Faculty of Applied Science (SLT, Lab and Info and others)  had key in for the award of B. Tech from University of Technology.

The Federal Polytechnic Offa has gained approval on affiliate programs from Federal University of  Technology Minna for the award of B. Tech in the Faculty of Engineering and others. This program is an hi-bridge program for HND graduates that want to upgrade their HND certificate for B.Tech. The University of Minna had given approval because The Federal Polytechnic Offa meet the requirement (Physical and Human resources) for the award of B.Tech program in the Faculty of Engineering, Federal Polytechnic Offa.
