ASUP National Strike under review: Resolution was subjected to National Delegates Congress (NDC)

ASUP Strike Update:The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has announced its decision to embark on an indefinite strike with effect from Monday, November 13, 2017 till date. This implies that ASUP strike is now 8 days old, the Federal Government invited ASUP National to meeting last week Thursday 16th-17th 2017 for the review of ASUP demands. Negotiation was carried out between Federal Government and ASUP on a new modalities with the present administration. MOU was dully signed between Federal Government and ASUP which serves as a green light for positive changes. The outcome of their negotiation called for NEC meeting which was help in Abuja today 20th, November 2017.
NEC meeting has ended today 20th November 2019.That the national executive has reported the agreement reached with the government to the NEC body. This will be reported to the various chapter to deliberate on further action. Though there's a possibility of suspending the strike during ASUP NDC to held from 26th November to 1st December.
Fedpoffa Proposed Strike: Federal Polytechnic Offa will no longer embark on local strike as proposed earlier today. ASUP Offa chapter had not finalized on Local Strike proposal according to information received from ASUP PRO unit later hour today. The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa is working 24hours to meet ASUP demands. According o fact finding by Fedpoffaconnect, Fedpoffa Management had successfully resolved most ASUP Offa chapter demands.
