Fedpoffa Management Mandate completion of SIWES Defend within 7days (Computer Engineering Department Denfence scheduled on 13th February 2017)

This to notify the affected students (ND II FT/ ND II PT YR III) and staff at the department of Computer Engineering Technology that the SIWES defense will come up on 13th February 2016 inline with Fedpoffa ITF Office initiative and supported by Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa.

SIWES is a compulsory course inline with NBTE curriculum with unit capacity 4.0 which cut-across all departments under Science, Engineering, and Applies Science faculties at the Federal Polytechnic Offa. Moreso, SIWES is mandatory to all participants (ND FT and ND PT students) and the affected students / staff must adapt to ITF rules and regulation for the fulfillment of  defense, grading and report of activities inline with ITF directives. SIW cannot be excluded and students failure to participate on SIWES program will result to carry-over because SIWES program was added to Polytechnic and  Universities curriculum which to be completed before award certificate on completion of ND/Bsc disciplines at any Nigeria tertiary Institution.

 

SIW course know generally know as The Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) as regards  a skills training programme designed to expose and prepare students of universities and other tertiary institutions for the Industrial Work situation they are likely to meet after graduation.
The usual practice of SIW course requirement from all affected students demand the completion of SIW program , report writing, defense, and submitting of required document inline with SIWES coordinator guides.
