Copper must go.........HND II/NDII (FT/PT YR III) results sorting on fast track.......Lectures, instructors and Technologist(s) ruining up-down to meet management dead line...All hands on desk @ MIS unit.
1. MIS unit demand for HND II and ND II results
The director of MIS gave new directive to all MIS desk officers to start computing the results of all final year students. The would capture ND II Full-Time and ND II Part time across all department.
2. Results must be concluded latest tomorrow 17-10-2017
The ASUP intercepted all results therefore gave directive last week to all ASUP members (Academic Staff Union of the Polytechnic Offa Chapter) to submit final year results only. This guideline cover ND II Full-Time and ND II Year III. The result of other levels is pending based on the agreement with the management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa.
3. MIS unit released new platform for result compilation across all department.
The new platform take form of soft computing that will fast track the release of all results within 24 hours. The Director of Mobilization Officer (NYSC unit Offa) traveled upper week to affirmate deadline and resolution on mobilization of HND II 2016/2017 academic session. Therefore the feedback trigger management decision and to fast track results on demand. Managment want all result submitted today 16th Oct, 2017. The final result from MIS could be ready on or before Thursday 18th 2017, in favor of the NYSC mobilization dead line.
4. New admission list to be release this week
The Admission unit is currently working of new admission list in favour of fresh ND I and HND I. In a couple of days, new list will be release since today had marked the beaning of new academic calendar.
5. Underground campaigning on election matters; ASUP election ....candidates are warming up against November election.
ASUP members seriously engage in underground campaigning on campus based on recent warning from ASUP Chairman (Dr. Ojeniyi ) that " No election campaign online" Candidates were looking for other means to create pubic awareness on campus.
6. SUG election coming up on E-Voting platform
The report submitted by the security unit of The Federal Polytechnic Offa in recent time had created consciousness of irregular conduct of students on election matters on campus. Management recently constituted team that will bring resolution to election problems on campus. The team finally brought resolution to the management by proposing e-voting platform. The purpose of this E-Voting platform is to curb election violent and mi-conduct on campus. The management bought the resolution and instructed the team to proceed with modalities on the resolutions. The team released internal memo to ICT Unit, Computer Science Department, Computer Engineering Department and Electrical and Electronic Department to come up with development of a robust E-Voting System. The in-house programmers from all these units emerged to design and develop a robust e-voting system for SUG election and now subject to management approval. NOTE: I will not disclose names of team and programmers involve on E voting initiative for personal reason
7. SIWES institution based supervisors on tour; Institution based supervisors to visit SIWES students at their place of primary assignment inline with ITF guideline.
The Institution based supervisors had started working since last week. The Fedpoffa SIWES unit gave directives to all institution based coordinators, and Supervisors to commence visitation and follow ITF/SIWES guideline for assessing all affected students.
8. New faces on campus....registration in progress. Payment of acceptance fees, receipt sorting from Bursary unit. New students commence registration on campus today..All hand on desk at bursary unit and Center for continue Education (CCE) unit. The breakdown on school fees was released to serve as guideline to newly admitted students.
9. Signing of admission letter by fresh students (newly admitted students)
