The Management of the Federal Polytechnic Offa recently received the Resource Verification Team
from the National Universities Commission (NUC) in preparation for
mounting of B. Tech degree Programme of Federal University of
Technology, Minna, Niger State in Computer Science, Food Science
Technology, Electrical Electronic, and Mechanical Engineering
Technology.
National Universities Commission (NUC), together with Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) visits four department at Federal polytechnic Offa, Kwara State. The purpose of visitation is to carryout accreditation exercised needed for take off four degree programmes " Computer Science, Electrical Electronics Department, Mechanical Engineering Department and Food Science and Technology Department" for the incoming academic session 2018/2019.
Accreditation exercise was commenced on 22nd July 018 and exited on 24th July 2018. The accreditation team compresses of three difference teams "NUC, FUT Minna, COREN "
The Management is under pressure to expand the programme to cut across other department and also with future hope to begin Top-Up degree programme . Therefore, 100 level and 200 level degree programme are likely to commence in Octomber 2018 inline with FUT Minna academic calendar for affiliate degree programme for Federal Polytechnic Offa.

NYSC Rejecting Profiles and Database of Students to be Uploaded in Batch B: Hot Message from NYSC Quarter to All Institutions in Nigeria
This is to inform members of the Staff,Students and the general public that the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) in collaboration with the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Abuja directed all NYSC Mobilization/Career Officers and Deans of Students' Affairs of the Universities,Colleges of Education and Polytechnics across the country to communicate to their respective students that the NYSC portal is currently rejecting profiles and database of students to be uploaded in Batch B" and subsequent batches to be followed.Therefore,all Undergraduate students (both ABU Zaria and UDUS Affiliations) who obtained their Jamb Provisional Admission Letters between November 2017 and 2018(Jamb numbers) are to proceed to any nearest Jamb office nationwide for revalidation of their obtained Jamb numbers at the cost of N2500 only(a letter of this directive is expected to be release to all heads of tertiary institutions across the country for further actions).
The Jamb number revalidation period for the graduating students will commence from Tuesday 19th June 2018 and to be close on Friday 22nd June 2018.
Henceforth,only students with revalidated Jamb numbers are eligible for Batch B" NYSC mobilization and senate list uploading for online registration as at when due.
Please,note that the revalidation of the Jamb numbers affects only those students who are yet to be call up/mobilized for NYSC and those who are yet to commence online registration. It does not also affects those students who have completed their online registrations but awaits for the next available NYSC Batch or stream.
